Project READY Inc is a parent-to-parent support organization founded by two Chinese American parents of children with developmental disabilities.
It is the first 501(C)3 non-profit organization in the Asian community targeting youth around the transition age. The focus of the organization is Advocacy, Education, Transition and Community Inclusion.
We are constantly exploring, expanding and building a community that is owned by and serves people with IDD and their families.
The mission of Project Ready is to promote advocacy, education, training, and community inclusion to support individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities and their families in the Asian American Community.
We believe there are inherent abilities in each Individual with intellectual or developmental disabilities (IDD).
We believe that employment for the disabled is a social issue that is worth resolving.
We believe that community inclusion and employment of the disabled will bring value and positive impact on our society as a whole.
We believe that the youth and adults with IDD in the Asian American Community deserve the same level of accessibility to resources and support, especially for immigrant families with language and culture barriers.
